Anna and the French Kiss
Oh my God! This book is honestly very very sweet and cute. Three of my friends [including a guy; yes, a guy loved this romance novel as well!] have been fangirling about it for ages, and now that I have finally gotten used to reading on my tablet, I decided to give it a go.
Okay, so first things first….
Anna and the French Kiss is a novel written by Stephanie Perkins. It is a romance novel and to speak the truth, really unlikely to happen. But, I think that is the reason people love reading romance novels.
Anna’s romance novelist father is forcing her to attend a boarding school in Paris- the city of love. She is rather reluctant to leave her home and friends back in Atlanta but she does not really have a choice. However, she befriends four people- Meredith, St. Clair, Josh and Rashmi rather quickly. She starts hanging out with them and they help her in some of her struggles- for example communicating with French people. Without realizing it, Anna begins to enjoy her extravagant-for-high-school new life. But things complicate when she begins to like the same guy as her best friend in Paris does… especially when he is dating.
Amusing, beautiful and heartwarming, this novel is common, yet uncommon at the same time. If you come to think of it, this novel has a plot similar to many other novels- it is a typical high school love story. However, the style and way in which it is written is beautiful and that is what makes this novel so good.
The novel was so good that I finished it within a day. If my schedule would have permitted me, then I would have finished this novel in one sitting, but alas! That couldn’t be the case.
So, obviously according to me this novel is a must read, especially for all romance novel lovers. It has now become one of my favorite romance novels.
