Warning: May contain spoilers of the first book
Hey Guys! I just finished Crown of Midnight and it was brilliant. It is the second part of Throne of Glass and is authored by Sarah J. Maas. I am addicted to the series and finished this book in a day, despite the fact that I have exams from the 26th.

Blurb:
From the throne of glass rules a king with a fist of iron and a soul as black as pitch. Assassin Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become his Champion. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown. She hides her secret vigilantly; she knows that the man she serves is bent on evil.
Keeping up the deadly charade becomes increasingly difficult when Celaena realizes she is not the only one seeking justice. As she tries to untangle the mysteries buried deep within the glass castle, her closest relationships suffer. It seems no one is above questioning her allegiances—not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a foreign princess with a rebel heart.
Then one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an unspeakable tragedy. As Celaena’s world shatters, she will be forced to give up the very thing most precious to her and decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie… and whom she is ultimately willing to fight for.
I am speechless after reading this book😶😶. I don’t even know where to start.
So, the plot. The plot was extremely amazing!! The twists came in at the right time and they kept me glued to the book. And the last line of the novel- oh my god. I was like, whaaaaaaaaaaat. Like, oh my god oh my god oh my god. My heart was hammering inside my chest wildly. Also, the proportions of the genres was perfect once again.
The characters, once again, were outstandingly portrayed. The books have multiple POVs and so we are able to understand what each character is going through.
I literally do not have anything else to say except that GO AND READ THIS SERIES AT ONCE! DO NOT DELAY!!
I recommend this book to all fantasy, mystery, romance and dystopia lovers. Please please read it.
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (The critic in me tried to find a flaw, but it couldn’t)
Thank you for reading!

Yes!! You read it!! Although I LOVED it, I actually did find a flaw in this whole series — there were not enough diverse characters
Everyone (except for Nehemia) was white, and there were only 2 genders! So I really did love this series but that’s what I thought! Plus – I loved this review! It was so detailed!

Yeah true… what happened with Nehemia in book 2 was heartbreaking though- I was close to tears. And Celeana being Aelin😶😶 I will always think of her as Celeana

Thanks Becca! Since you seem to love fantasy, do you have any suggestions for such books? (Except The Cruel Prince, books by SJM and Cassandra Clare)

Serpent and Dove has similar vibes. You might also like Poison Study by Maria v Snyder and Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers.

I read the first book of this series years ago and I literally can’t remember why I didn’t continue with the series. Everyone raves about it, I really need to return to it
