8 Popular Books I haven’t read | Discussion Post #2

Hey Guys! Time for another discussion post! I have just gotten over with my Physics exam and what better way to celebrate? (Do NOT ask how it went)

So, today I will be listing down 8 popular books/ book series I haven’t read. They are quite a few. Let’s begin!

  • The Twilight series

This book is perhaps the most hated and most loved book, all at once. I have heard that people have loved it with all of their hearts and I have heard people say that they loathe it. I haven’t particularly been drawn to it, but maybe someday I will give it a go!

  • The Mortal Instruments
The Mortal Instruments - Cassandra Clare | Owlish Books & Movies

This is another book I have heard mixed reviews about. This book series is another on my never-ending TBR. I will probably read it in 2021.

  • Pride and Prejudice
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE: book eBook: AUSTEN, JANE: Amazon.in: Kindle Store

This is another book I haven’t ever been drawn to. I have heard some really good things about it, though. I might give it a go someday but I am not particularly keen about it.

  • A Court of Thorns and Roses

This is a book I cannot wait to read! As most of you know, I am currently reading Throne of Glass and I am loving it!! So, I can’t wait to read more of Sarah J. Maas!

  • The Kane Chronicles
Rick Riordan Developing Feature Adaptations Of 'The Kane Chronicles' At Netflix – Deadline

This was the first ever book I DNF-ed. I got so bored reading it. But, now that I have grown and matured, I am looking forward to read it in some time.

  • The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue eBook: Schwab, V.E.: Amazon.in: Kindle Store

I am really really looking forward to read this book. I haven’t read one negative review of this book and hope to read it soon.

  • Folk of the Air
Of Cruel Princes and Wicked Kings: Holly Black's The Folk of the Air Series | Tor.com

This is probably the next series I am going to read. I have read so many positive reviews of it. I am really keen on reading it but Throne of Glass first!

  • Six of Crows
Six of Crows Series — Book Review – The Blue and White

This is another book series which has quite many positive reviews! This is another book series I look forward to reading soon!!

There might be a few more popular books I haven’t read yet, but this is it for now! If required, I can always make a part 2!

Which popular book is on your TBR?? Have you not read any of the ones I have listed?? Or have you?? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

  1. Woah! So, almost all of the books there are in my TBR😂
How is it that even our TBRs are same?😨
Also, I’ve read the Twilight series, and I loved it! As for Pride and Prejudice, I DNFd it but I still wanna read it someday! It’s quitttte complicated😆

      1. We are for sure!😂 ‘Kumbh ke mele me’ too?
Ah, I don’t know the plot, it’s the start that made me give up, I just couldn’t keep up with the language🤷🏻‍♀️

  2. You have such amazing books on your TBR. I’m actually starting the Harry Potter series which is very popular then I’m planning to read The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien. I do want to start getting into Sarah J. Maas’ books since I’ve seen so many positive reviews on her writing.

  3. Ahhh I haven’t read like most of these! Though I’m proud to say that I’m currently in the middle of ACOTAR (yes I’m finally reading Sarah J Maas) and I am hooked. 🤩

  4. I haven’t read The Invisible Life of Addie Larue yet, either, but I’m definitely planning to! 🤗 Apart from the Folk of Air series, though, I’ve read all of these – so I’d love to hear your thoughts on them if you do pick them up!

  5. I’ve read Twilight (nothing special), Addie LaRue (amazing) and Six of Crows. DO READ SIX OF CROWS! The first three chapters are quite hard to understand cause you sort of get thrown in the middle of things, but from then on it just gets better and better! Holly Black is up on my tbr for 2021, I’m still not sure if I’m by now too old to read Sarah J. Maas, but I’ll definitely NEVER pick up a single book by Cassie Clare. Hated her HP fanfics and there are so many plagiarism accusations lying around in her corner that I’ll definitely not read a single word of what she’s written.

    1. OMG, those were some really strong opinions!! I am indeed looking forward to Addie LaRue and Six of Crows. I don’t know much about Clare but I am willing to give them a try. Also, YOU SHOULD READ SARAH J MAAS. YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO OLD. They are amazing!

  6. Omg! Great post! Although, I’m not gonna lie, The Folk of the Air series might not be worth the read, the rest of them are soooo good! Have you read The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare? They are soooo good!

  7. I am also eager to read Sarah J. Maas’s Court of Thorns and Roses! I’ve heard so much about her books and am really excited to get my sticky paws on them. So, Pride & Prejudice is a great book. It can be a little bit much for it can be hard to understand. (But, once you get it, it is prime literature.) If you aren’t a fan of classics or old-fashioned romances, than this won’t be your cup of tea. I really enjoyed it, though! Great post!

    1. Oh, that’s great!! I am reading Throne of Glass currently, and I am loving it so I am super excited to read ACOTAR! And I will keep that in mind if and when I read Pride and Prejudice! Thanks for reading!
