Hey Guys! So I am done with the fourth book of the Throne of Glass series written by Sarah J. Maas (Yes, I am finished! I am a fast reader, okay?! I tend to spend all my spare time reading books I am addicted to hence I finished this.) And of course, it was brilliant.
Blurb (from Goodreads):
Kingdoms will collide.
The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius as war looms on the horizon. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those who don’t.
With her heart sworn to the warrior-prince by her side, and her fealty pledged to the people she is determined to save, Aelin will delve into the depths of her power to protect those she loves. But as monsters emerge from the horrors of the past, and dark forces become poised to claim her world, the only chance for salvation will lie in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.
As soon as I finished this book I dropped off a message to one of my good friends and said that I am speechless. That’s because I was. That is how good it was. I literally had no words.
The characters- they were very very very well-written. Like, duh- this is SJM we are talking about. None of them changed. I had found Chaol to be extremely annoying in the last book and while I found him an improvement in this one- he was still not as good as before. I found Manon to be an immense improvement to be honest. And Lysandra is a really nice character.
The plot- of course it was great. Again, this is SJM we are talking about. Of course, it had to be brilliant. Unlike the last book at no point was it boring. The way Sarah J. Maas strung the plots together and is slowly bringing them all together is just F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. The proportions of all the genres was perfect.
I loved the ending. It was rather peaceful no matter what may be coming.
Also, Rowan and Aelin? Nooooo. I am an Aelin and Dorian shipper. Who do you ship?
So, overall, yes, you need to read this book immediately if you already haven’t.
