Answers to your Questions!!

So, if you remember, in my 200 follower celebration post I asked you guys to ask me questions. And well, I am honestly surprised at the number of questions you guys asked! Thank you so much! And here are the answers to your questions!

Lilly @Lilly’s Little Library asked (I tried tagging you but for some reason, I was unable to):
1. Why did you want to start a book blog?
The reason I started a book blog was that I wanted a place to rant about my bookish feelings for like forever. Besides, I started it about 8 months ago , when we were midst a lockdown, I needed something to pass my time- but this blog ended up being much more than just a past time.
2. Did you follow any book blogs before starting your blog?
No, I did not. The reason why this was so was that I was rather new to the community and had no clue how to get going. I did not realize that if I don’t go and get myself known in the community, it won’t try to know me. However, I did end up following some incredible bloggers.

Hayden @Following Good Books asked:
Are you interested in a bookish career or is this purely for fun?
Yes I am indeed interested in a bookish career, but I intend to gather up some money before I give it a shot- so my blog isn’t really the top of my priorities for now- though I would say, it is second or third in that list.

Millay @Millay’s Musings asked:
What does your name mean?
Well, there is this Hindu god named Ganesha who had two wives Riddhi and Siddhi- so that is where my name comes from. It also means prosperity and wealth.

Tess @Unbound Library asked:
Who is your role model/ hero/ who is someone that inspires you?
There is an Indian businessman who took a company to heights and made it one of the world’s biggest ones- J.R.D. Tata. I really admire him for his work as he took India to heights.

Cherelle @Cherelle the Bibliophile asked:
1. What is your greatest takeaway from blogging?
Hmmm… this is difficult to answer🤔🤔. I am not sure if you mean it in the philosophical sense or the actual material sense so I will answer in both ways- Philosophically, I realized that every relationship is a give and take one. Materially, my language improved and I made many new blogger friends!
2. How has book blogging changed your reading habits and all?
It has but it hasn’t, if it makes sense? Like, I still read as much as I used to, maybe a little more- but I wouldn’t have read books like Throne of Glass if not for WordPress. I am also going to give a couple of books a try- both of them found on WordPress.

Naemi @A Book Owl’s Corner asked:
1. What made you want to start blogging?
I have answered this already…
2. And why is math better than physics?
Naemi, it just is, okay? I mean Math is so much easier than Physics and does not require all that brainstorming as Physics does. Plus, Physics makes no sense half the time- like how can any body be massless or frictionless. I mean, come on!

Bertie @The Luminosity Library asked:
What is your favourite food?
Okay, this is supremely difficult. I love to eat pizza (Plain margherita/ double cheese, for me, thank you.) I also love two Indian dishes very much- they are named Pani Puri (And the street side version is just *chef’s kiss*) and Rajma Chawal. So, for those of who don’t know, Pani Puri is a type of chaat and chaat is basically a spicy snack and the term in general includes various dishes. Here is a photo of Pani Puri for you.

I tend to eat it without the stuffing inside (Yes, I am weird), but normally people eat it with the stuffing

As for Rajma Chawal, it’s literal translation to English is kidney beans with rice. But there is also this tomato gravy in which the kidney beans are submerged and all of it together makes it a perfect dish!

Nehal @Books and Words asked:
Why are you so childlike in the post and serious in the comments?
I am pretty sure this question was a joke and I should not answer it but I will answer it anyway.
The answer is I don’t know. I guess I am more childish IRL and a bit on my blog than in the comments section in particular. Well, I guess it is probably because of the fact that I get childish when I talk about books or talk to the people I know and when I chat with people in the comments, I want to sound a bit mature. I am going to be 16 in less than a month, after all!! I need to be more mature, you know, if that makes sense.

Evin @A Curly Sue’s Ramblings asked:
1. Who is your favourite from one direction?
Well, according to me, they are ranked in this order- Niall, Zayn, then Harry, Louis and Liam tied together. I know you like Louis the most Evin, but I am sorry, I just love Niall. He won my heart after Black and White.

2. What is your least favourite emoji and why?
I honestly do not know. *Scrolls through the emojis* Ah, found it! This one- 🤪. I can tolerate all emojis, including this one, but I don’t know, I find it weird.

3. Would you consider starting a side blog?
YES! But, I will post significantly less there as compared to here. It is my dream to start a blog anonymously, where I can post what is going on in my life- just like in Girl Online if you know what I mean.

4. Who are 10 of your favourite bloggers?
Aaah, Evin, why? I will name all of my favourite bloggers and not just ten. As for those who I do not name, I am sure I must have liked it (I like all blogs, it is just a thing with me), but I won’t have loved it.

5. Do you like cacti/cactuses?
Uh… I find them okay.

Katie @The Story Book Sisters asked:
What is your favorite book format to use (ebook, physical book, audiobook, etc.)?
My favourite format is physical books but I end up reading ebooks as they are a whole lot more cost-effective. I have never tried audiobooks out, to be honest.

I hope you enjoyed reading the answers! If you still have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments!! I will answer them there!

  1. A loved reading your answers to all our questions! That’s really interesting! (Your name.) Mythology is so cool! Didn’t Evin ask you to list your top 10 favorite bloggers? 😉 Haha! Great post! It was really great getting to know more about the girl behind the blog. 🙂

  2. Aww, Riddhi – thanks so much for the shout-out 😭😊❤ I am honored! Though what were you doing including all those food pics?! I just had dinner, but I’m already starving again just from looking at them 😂
And, of course, I also agree that math is way better than physics. But it was nice to see someone else argue in math’s defence for a change. My parents are both physicists and one of my brother’s is minoring in physics, so I am the lone defender of mathematics in this household 😥😁

  3. Thanks for including me in your list of favorites! I love your style too, especially how you aren’t afraid to be a little silly! Pizza is always a great food choice, and I have recently started to love Indian food. I tried pani puri not too long ago and it was delicious! Awesome answers!
