Me Before You Book Review | Read-a-thon Read #8 and a couple of things

Hey Guys! So, time for another read-a-thon read review! (Well, the time was a week ago- I have been putting off this review for a week and then I realized that oh damn I am gonna be done with the 9th book soon and I need to get this review out there, and I needed to share a couple of things, so well.)

The prompt for this one was: Red: Read a book with a red cover

Blurb (from Goodreads):
They had nothing in common until love gave them everything to lose . . .
Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an exceedingly ordinary life—steady boyfriend, close family—who has barely been farther afield than their tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for ex–Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life—big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel—and now he’s pretty sure he cannot live the way he is.
Will is acerbic, moody, bossy—but Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living.

The plot was beautiful. People have compared this to The Fault in Our Stars, but it isn’t even close. Not even close my friends.

Moreover, the characters neared perfection. All of them. They were portrayed just as they should have been. Louisa and Will were made for each other. And I hate Patrick (Louisa’s ex-boyfriend). He was a prick who did not give even one tiny damn about Louisa. Whereas Will on the other hand, he was just perfect. All the other characters- Mrs. Trainor, Louisa’s mom and dad, they too were exactly as they should be.

My one tiny complain is that the start was bit slow and tedious. And the end- it destroyed me. I am dead inside (Well, a part of me at the very least).

So, yes, definitely you should read this book. I love the plot, I love the characters and I love how Jojo Moyes has depicted the specially abled. She has shown how they might feel when we treat them differently.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
