Happy Makar Sankranti! + NEWS!

Hey everybuddy! Today is Makar Sankranti, a festival celebrated throughout India in various forms, some places as Pongal, some as Uttarayan among others. It is celebrated each year on 14th January and is a day of joy and holiday all around the country (I still had online classes, and I had to attend them. Damn!)

In North India, it is celebrated as Uttarayan. People meet each other and fly kites. The sky is full of colourful kites and it looks breathtaking. Til sweets are especially prepared and distributed. This is the culture in my house, although we didn’t celebrate today because the first festival after a death isn’t celebrated.

In Tamil Nadu (South India), it is especially celebrated as Pongal and the houses are decorated. Rangolis are made from rice and pulses.

It is celebrated all over India and I am short of time so I won’t be able to share everything I know. I promise to add on further, if I am able to. However, you can click here to know more about it!

So, as some of you might know, I have been writing poetry these days. Sooooo….. I started a new blog! I started a new blog especially for poetry titled poems and poesies. Do check it out, one of the poems I have posted here before, one I haven’t. Like, comment and follow!!!! Thanks for supporting me enough that I thought of starting a new blog- I swear if this was 5 months ago, I wouldn’t have done this.

Happy Makar Sankranti once again!!!!!!! I hope this post was a little informative! Do try and check my new blog out!

P.S.- I am literally posting this at 11:59 P.M. IST, that’s so late I am ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
