Blogger Interview with Namrata!

Hello everybuddy! As you may or may not know, in late December, I announced that I will be doing a series of blogger interviews and the second one’s here!

Today I will be interviewing another sweet person- Namrata @Red pillows reviews. Check her blog out and do give it some love!!!

Let’s begin!

Me: Tell me something about yourself.

Namrata: I am a 29-year-old engineer working on Automotive Software as my day job. However, all my free time is spent reading! I love the idea of disappearing into a new and different world every day and of discovering something new! I have practically grown up with books and I am happy spending my days in a corner with a book.

Me: Oh, that’s awesome! Why did you start blogging?

Namrata: I started blogging as a way to pass my time while waiting to start work. The blog was just a place to share our random musings, but it later turned into a book blog once I discovered the joy in blogging about books!

Me: Ah, it is indeed fun to blog about books. So why do you blog about them?

Namrata: I think that this question has been answered in the above questions, but to conclude, I love talking about books and I find joy in helping authors find their audience. Reviewing apart, promoting books, spreading the word and connecting people through books is pure joy!

Me: Oh okay. So what motivates you to continue blogging?

Namrata: I love reading as I have already mentioned and I love talking about books. Nowadays it is not easy to find people who love to read as much as I do, but blogging has brought me in contact with so many like-minded people! It is wonderful and enlightening!

Me: True, true. So what do you not like about blogging?

Namrata: I don’t usually find the time to post regularly on my blog and this is one thing that I am not very happy about. I have realized that to be visible, there should always be something going on, but there are times when my blog is dead, which in all honesty is just due to how busy I get with work.

Me: Ah, I see. So, what are your favourite books?

Namrata: I have way too many favourite books that it is difficult to pick any one. Growing up, I adored Enid Blyton’s various series, Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys etc. The best series for me is Harry Potter of course. It has been a part of my life growing up and has left a profound impact on me. I would also like to stress
that I love the Lord of the Rings series.
I seem to have spoken more about fantasy fiction here and to move away from it, I adored the Jason Bourne series growing up! It was just amazing. I also enjoyed reading books by Jeffrey Archer, John Grisham, Kathy Reichs to name a few! Now however, I have diversified so much that it is no longer so easy to
mention favourites.

Me: Ah, I loved Enid Blyton too! So, what is your favourite genre?

Namrata: I absolutely adore fantasy fiction as it helps me to escape into new worlds and stirs the imagination. I also enjoy reading middle-grade fiction as it reminds me that even though I am an adult, there is a child in me somewhere that enjoys adventures and mysteries!

Me: Ah, I like that genre too! Do you listen to music? Who are your favourite artists?

Namrata: I do listen to music, but I do not have any specific favourites. I listen to a variety of songs and just generally anything that appeals or was recommended and that I enjoyed!

Me: Oh okay. What are your other hobbies?

Namrata: Honestly? Apart from reading books, I do not really have any other hobbies. I do occasionally enjoy watching some TV series and hanging out with friends (which was practically non-existent this year)!

Me: Speaking of 2020, what is a good thing that happened to you in it?

Namrata: The best thing about 2020 was spending time with family and getting to read a whole lot of books. I was also able to devote more time to my blog and I am quite happy with my progress this year!

Me: Oh yay! Lastly, some feedback on my blog?

Namrata: I love your blog and the diversity among your posts that inspire conversation. It is inspiring and there is a lot for me to learn from the way your blog is maintained and the ideas raised!

Me: *blushes* Well, that is one of the best things I have heard about my blog lately! So, thank you! I really enjoyed having you over on my blog Namrata. Any parting words?

Namrata: I would just like to thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Blogger Interviews and I am grateful for the opportunity to connect!

So, that’s all for today folks! Hope you had fun!!!

  1. I always love seeing Nancy Drew and Enid Blyton’s books on people’s childhood favorites lists! 😊 I was absolutely obsessed with all kinds of mystery novels and school stories in elementary school (and still kind of am 😁), so reminiscing about those books always puts me in a really nostalgic mood 😊
