Hey everyone!! Today, on this last day of this series, one of the two people I am going to be interviewing is a relatively new blogger- Ritz over from Living, Loving and Reading. She has an awesome blog, so do head over there and give it a follow!
Let’s get started!
Me: Tell me something about yourself.
Ritz: I love to do photography. It’s so fun, and I’m not very good at it haha.
Me: Ooh, I like photography too! My sister actually has a camera, and I know the basics of operating it. So, why did you start blogging?
Ritz: 2020 summer, I think was when I got into reading. After a couple of months, I felt like I should find a way to express my thoughts in better ways than just reviewing. I had seen book blogs before but hadn’t realized that I could make one. So I just on impulse went to wordpress.com and created a blog. I launched it the next day, which is kind of crazy. But yeah, it was just a quick decision. I mean, there was nothing stopping me, so why shouldn’t I do it?
Me: Oh, don’t worry, I launched my blog after a day as well! What motivates you to continue blogging?
Ritz: Firstly, the fact that I’m really having fun. And second, that people are actually reading what I’m posting, and it’s kind of crazy. 2 months ago I wouldn’t have thought that anyone was going to read my blog, much less follow me, but they do, so it’s really awesome to think about, and that thought motivates me.
Me: Oh, I see! Why do you blog about books?
Ritz: Well, first of all, I love them. And also, I’m not super into sports or fashion or cooking or whatever bloggers usually blog about, and people say to “Write about what you know”.
Well, I am.
Me: Same here, actually. What’s your least favorite thing about having a blog?
Ritz: I think my least favorite thing is scheduling posts, which can get annoying, especially if you don’t remember what days you’ve already posted on.
Me: Huh, that’s a first. What is your favorite genre? Why?
Ritz: I love sci-fi and fantasy with all my bookish heart. I think I love them because there are no limits. Well, there are some. But the author can do something that has never been seen before and make it into an amazing story.
Me: Yeah, that’s true. If used properly, it can be a very powerful tool for authors- the limitlessness I mean! Do you listen to music? Who are your favorite artists?
Ritz: I listen to music all the time! My favorite artists are probably Ariana Grande, Anne-Marie, and Alessia Cara.
Me: Oh, I love some songs by all those artists!! What are your hobbies?
Ritz: My hobbies are reading, blogging, photography and baking.
Me: Oh, I love baking too!! Dogs or cats? Which is your favorite breed?
Ritz: Dogs! Yorkshire Terriers are so cute, but I also love French Bulldogs.
Yes! Yes, that’s the correct answer! Sorry, I swore off saying anything about dogs or cats on my blog recently, so, I won’t comment here. Lastly, some feedback for my blog?
Ritz: I think your blog is really good the way it is, Riddhi. I don’t really have anything you could work on haha.
Thanks for doing this, Ritz!! It was fun!
