Blogger Interview with Maddie!

Hey everybody! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!

It’s 6th September today, a.k.a, the day I post the first blogger interview! I will be posting interviews every Monday and Saturday, so that you week ends and begin with one of these, haha.

Today, I have Maddie @Inking and Thinking here with me, and I am so stoked to have you here Maddie! Let’s begin already!

R- Tell my readers a bit about yourself and your blog.

M- Hi everyone! My name is Maddie, and I run the blog called Inking & Thinking! On my blog, I do reviews on usually YA books, but I occasionally review adult books!  I also have many different books lists posts; some examples I have done in the past are Book Recs Based on Popular TV shows and movies and Trope Themed Thursdays! I also do various discussions on Bookish Topics, and as well as tags!

R- What about your blog, or blogging in general, you most and least love?

M- One of my favorite things I love about blogging is getting to meet other bloggers! It’s so much fun to meet people with similar interests and be able to have friends who “truly” enjoy reading! Honestly, so far, I haven’t discovered anything I don’t like about blogging! It may be because I only started around six months ago, but otherwise, I can’t think of anything.

R- I agree! Interacting with bloggers is so fun! What would be your perfect day? Plan it out from waking up to bedtime.

M- This is a tough question! I would have to say my perfect day would be waking up early in the morning, around six, and reading for several hours. I would say probably until 8:30. Then I would probably go out to breakfast with my family and chill with them. Around 11:30, I would want to go ice staking with my friends and do that for a few hours. Then I would have a family game night with my family and friends until late at night probably. We would have snacks and dessert through the game night. Then I would probably go to bed.

R- Ooh, sounds fun! What’s your favorite thing you own and why?

M- My books and bookshelf. I love being able to see all my books on display and pick which one to read next.

R- I see! Where do you hope to be 5-7 years from now?

M- I want to be blogging, even if it’s not just purely about books. I would hope that I’m pursuing something I’m 100% passionate about. I hope that I’m in a good place and that I’m living my best life.

R- This is so true for me as well, if I am being honest. Which celeb would you want as your other BFF and why?

M- Hmm….Another tough question! I would have to say, Olivia Rodrigo. I love her music, and she seems super friendly! I can relate a lot to her music and feel like I could have genuine conversations with her! If you’re curious, my favorite songs of hers would be Jealousy, Jealousy, and Good 4 U.

R- Ooh, yes, I like Olivia’s music as well! So, if you could travel in 1. Any Era 2. Any Place, when and what would that be?

M-If I traveled to an era, I would have to say the 1800s while the industrial revolution was happening. I think it would be cool to see all these inventions created at the time, like the telephone, planes, cars, etc. If I traveled to any place, it would have to be France. I’ve always wanted to go there. Mainly to see the Eiffel tour and eat macrons! But also to go site seeing!

R- Yeah, I wanna go to France too, especially Paris! Well, along with a bunch of other places. What do you do when no one else is around?

M- Talk to myself about what I need to get done. I know, a little strange, but sometimes you need to say it out loud to make sure you unravel your thoughts.

R- Yeahh, I get it. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

M- Mac and Cheese. Not like boxed Mac and cheese but homemade that comes from the heart. That’s always the best kind.

R- Amazing choice, I might have gone with it myself. Well, either that, or pizza. And yes, homemade Mac and Cheese tastes soo good, I can’t even… Well let that be, since I might drone about that all day. If you were going to get a tattoo, where and what would it be?

M- I wouldn’t get a tattoo since I have low pain tolerance. But if I were to get one, I would get it on my upper arm or thigh. I would probably get a tattoo of either some flowers or a quote from a book I like.

R- Ooh, niceeeee. What is something you wish more people knew about you?

M- That I’m a huge Marvel Nerd. I have watched all the movies and TV shows and imagine many theories on what will happen in the MCU. If you’re curious, some of my favorite characters are Scarlett Witch, Captain America, Black Panther, Spiderman, Loki, and Thor. My favorite MCU movies/TV shows are Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers Endgame, Wandavision, and Loki! If anyone ever wants to talk about marvel, feel free to talk to me because I will talk about it for ages.

R- Oh, I enjoy watching Marvel movies and TV shows as well, although I haven’t watched them all. And I gotta say I feel that Baby Groot is da cutest!!!!! I am not the biggest fan of Captain America though, I like Iron Man better. And I haven’t found the time to watch Loki and all those new series and movies, but I am gonna work my way through them! So, now comes the most important question, of the entire interview….. Dogs or Cats?

M- I have always had dogs growing up. So 100%, I would pick dogs any day over cats.

R- Bingo, that’s the correct answer! And lastly, what was your experience of doing a guest post on my blog? Any feedback for my blog, like in general?

M-I had an enjoyable time answering all these questions, and you were great to work with. I think your blog is great and you should keep doing what you’re doing!

R- Thank you so much Maddie, for coming over on my blog, and sharing all these things with us! You were great to work with too!

And that’s all people! Do head over to Maddie’s blog and give her a follow for amazing bookish content! Have a great day and stay tuned for more interviews!!

  1. This was such a great interview, guys! And Maddie, your perfect day sounds wonderful! I wouldn’t totally tag along for that, even if I always look like a total doofus ice skating 😂 After ending up with a horrific concussion after a skating accident, I am now terrified of trying anything too fancy, so I always look like some granny on the rink 🤣 Also, cats all the way!!!
