Yes, I did use the featured image/GIF I used last year, because I am lazy.
Hey everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!
So, I honestly cannot believe it’s my second birthday on this blog. I mean, last time around this year, things were so different, I was so much more relaxed, albeit the fact that Corona was still more existent that it is now. And to think of next year, things will be completely different again- COVID will probably be gone and I will probably be in college. Probably.
Also, I am like one of the youngest people in my grade, and yet I am so sad that I am turning 17. I mean, technically, I am of age in the Wizarding World! And just one more year before I am 18…
Anyway, happy thoughts!
Since, well, I am pretty busy and tense at the moment (because exams), instead of doing some tag like I did last year, I decided to share 17 thoughts while turning 17. It’s been a pretty tough year with me being at an all time low, low grades, the death of two of my grandparents and deciding what I am to do once I complete 12th grade. This post will just be like a small letter to myself, including my thoughts as I turn 17
- I am proud of the person you have become in the last year. You have become stronger mentally, and become more of an asset to the people around yourself, than a liability
- Death is a part of life, but I want you to deal with it the way you have in the past. The pain’s never going to go, but it will subside.
- You are loved right now, but now’s not forever. Learn to love yourself, and be with yourself, no matter what, because it’s possible others won’t be with you.
- Cherish the memories, but learn to be less attached to people.
- Always try to be the best version of yourself, but there will be days when you don’t feel like it. And that’s fine.
- Don’t forget the fact that you have always wanted to write a book. Whatever you end up doing in life, don’t forget that.
- Be kind to everyone, even if the other person hates you. You have been like that forever, but you also let people take advantage of you- work on that.
- Never forget your hobbies- work on them whenever you can.
- Learn to embrace your feelings. Start expressing yourself to others, and don’t be so closed off.
- Never, ever stop reading. It’s one of your only solaces and has always been. It’s shaped you into the person you are today.
- You love blogging right now, and you are pretty okay at it. Keep working on it, you will be pretty amazing soon =). It’s also an integral part of who you’ve become in the past one year, so even if you stop blogging someday, don’t forget it’s contribution to who you are.
- Learn to deal with heartbreak, feelings, people, and pretty much anything social. You suck at it.
- Think before you speak. Don’t speak the wrong things and at the wrong place.
- Eat healthy. You have eaten a lot of junk in the last two years.
- Never forget how to do Garba, no matter where you go. It’s a very big part of you.
- Never forget how great school was. Now that you are going to go to college in a few months, don’t forget about the place and years which made you who you are.
- You have grown up a lot now, but you still have a long way to go. Remember that, and become mature dude, please.
And that was my totally random trail of thoughts! I am feeling sorta sad tbh, I don’t wanna grow old😭😭 Didn’t I just turn 16?! Anyway, happy birthday to me!

Edit: I am reading this post on 7th December, and I sincerely apologize for the lack of enthusiasm.

First thing first; Happy Belated Birthday. I hope you had a great day.
Second, I am so sorry for your losses. Losing grandparents is difficult even if it’s the circle of life, they’re still apart of the reason you’re alive and that loss can be hard. Take care of yourself ❤
I hope 2022 is a much better year, for you and for all of us.
