Book Tag | End of the Year Book Tag!

Hey everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!

Today I’ll be doing the tag- End of the Year Book Tag! Obviously, it’s a big deal on the blogosphere, and well, this year I decided to give it a go! It was created by Ariel Bissett.

Let’s get to it!

  1. Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
Yes, actually, there are four! I am behind on my Goodreads challenge by four books, as a result of not having read at all in the last week of November and first two weeks of December, and well, I am hellbent on completing it! I am currently reading How Hard Can Love Be? by Holly Bourne, and honestly I haven’t picked the rest. Maybe, I’ll just pick the third installment of this series, which can also be read as a stand alone- What’s a Girl Gotta Do?
  2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
I mean, Harry Potter, maybe? But I didn’t really read it this year, so I don’t know. By the way, that reunion, how many of y’all are excited for it?! I know I am, and well, a couple of my friends are having a Harry Potter movie marathon, and while I won’t be able to join in the entire time, I’ll definitely be skim-watching the films!
  3. Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
Um, definitely not! Had this been a month ago (The ideal time to post this tag), I would have said You’ll Be the Death of Me, but I’m done with that too!
  4. What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
Hmmm…. Well, there’s What a Girl Gotta Do by Holly Bourne, an interesting but short audiobook-I’m thinking of ending things by Iain Reid I believe (Well, I wanna read it, but the account of the person I use has their subscription ended, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish this one! And yes, I’m a freeloader) and well, the last one, I honestly don’t know!
  5. Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?
Maybe? Not very likely, but maybe.

  6. Have you already started making reading plans for next year?
Well, I have three blog tours coming up, but I am thinking of dropping out, because I can’t get myself to read ebooks. And I already know that I am going to reread A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and Good Girl, Bad Blood, so that I can read As Good As Dead. I am also not going to be setting a high Goodreads goal- of maybe 60 books? Well, I know it’s not low, but as compared to this year and last year, I don’t think I’ll be as free. So, well, yeah, I don’t expect to blog as much or read as much.

And that’s all I have for today! Do you have reading plans for next year? Were you able to finish your Goodreads goal? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Harry Potter is the best autumnal book 🥰 Or the best book, period 😊
And you bet I’m on track to finish my goodreads goal! I have 16 books to go, so I’m just gonna lower the goal so that I’ll make it anyway #lifehacks 🙃

      1. Hmm, I guess that makes sense, seeing that there are twelve months and all 🤔 But I just love what a nice, round number 100 is, so I always set my goal to that 😄
And to be honest, I don’t care too much about the reunion 😅 I love the Harry Potter books to death and am constantly rereading them, but it is one of my most unpopular opinions ever that the movies are not a very good adaptation *hides* Especially in the latter ones, they left out so much stuff that I feel like the movies lost a lot of the magic and complexity the original story has, so I always get upset whenever I watch them and just go back to reading the books instead 😂
