Discussion Post | Types of bloggers we all know.

Hey everyone!

So, well, the types of followers post was quite well received. And Stara– in the comments, suggested this topic. And I thought why the hell not?

Also, again, no offense intended, this is just a fun thing I am trying out. And there will be a bunch of 2.0s in this, because, I mean, the names I came up with in the followers post were lit. They were.

Let’s goo!

  1. The Goldfish Part 2.0 (Part 1.0 was in the followers post): The ones who forget they have a blog
Okay, there are two categories of these people: The ones who go on an unannounced hiatus and never return, and the ones who go on a ‘temporary’ hiatus and never return. I mean, we are attached to your blog, please don’t forget us, we already have attachment issues, don’t worsen them, please *insert puppy dog eyes*
  2. The Self-Absorbed Influencer types: The ones who think they are celebrities
Okay, these people? Let me give you an example of their posts:
Hey *insert super cringey word used for addressing readers like lovelies*
Today I’ll be talking about my night routine. (Let’s not forget we don’t even know what they look like, or for that matter, care). First, I wash my face with this super specific to my skin type. Then I apply a toner- I know you don’t know what it does, but I won’t explain anyway. Then I apply two pounds of a ridiculously expensive cream which isn’t available in all countries. Then I close my eyes, and fall asleep, in an instant! (Because I am one of those rare people who does not overthink, like ever*

Okay, look, I don’t hate these people or anything, I just feel like the content they post isn’t that useful, and frankly, kind of pointless. And the thing is half of these people aren’t even beauty bloggers! Like they simply don’t adhere to their niche. Pffft.
  3. The Repetitioners: The ones who update the date and time of their posts a gazillion times.
Okay, hear me out. These people will update the date and time of their post, like 7-8 hours after they’ve posted stuff, and that way they get more likes. I get it when people do it like once or maybe twice, but these people recycle their posts for at least a week! And not just one post, multiple posts! I get that they want to popularize their posts as much as they can, and I respect that. But I also get annoyed as hell, because I do not want to see their posts on my readers everytime I open it! Like, it’s just, super annoying. Guys, if you are reading this, please stop updating your post’s date and time more than twice, I love your content, but I do not want to see it on my reader ten thousand times.
  4. The Follower Lovers: The ones who would do anything to gain followers
Most of us, we blog to express love for our niche. These people blog just for fame. To these people, please stop advertising your blog in all of your posts! Please stop saying follow my blog at the top of the post, instead of the bottom! I swear I’ll follow your blog once you do this! And also, if you want fame, blogging isn’t for you- try Instagram or YouTube.
  5. The Doggos: The ones who are so cute that you can’t help but fall in love with them
Aaah, I love these guys! They have such neat content and blog so well, that I just fall in love with their blogs! Besides, they are also amazing followers, so all of it adds to one big fat *chef’s kiss*
    I am a doggo, aren’t I? (Just kidding)
  6. The Quipster: The funny ones
Okay, there are so many people on the blogosphere who like have average content, but the way they present it with such a huge serving of humour, I can’t help but loving them! Like seriously, their humour is top notch, and slightly broken, but well, that’s my favourite kind of humour.
  7. The Bores: Do I even need to explain?
These people, they always post just one kind of content. Not gonna lie, I was one of these. If you scroll back to my older posts (please don’t), you’ll see all I posted was reviews. And I was a bore.
  8. The Overenthusiastic Newcomers 2.0: Calm down.
These people post like 5 posts in one day! I mean, I love your content, but please, excess of anything is hazardous! Even air, I think….
  9. The Sporadic Ones: The ones who post like once a month, maybe….
This is pretty self-explanatory, I mean these people have no schedule (Neither do I, but oh well). They post whenever they want to. And I mean, that’s cool, but please let us know when you’ll post and how many times in a month you’ll post.
    Thanks.
  10. The Regulars 2.0: The Ones who have a consistent schedule, post at least once in a fortnight
Again, pretty self-explanatory, and after doggos, these are my favourite kind of bloggers!

And those are all the types of bloggers I could think of! What category do you think you fit in? Which category do you think I fit in? Which categories do you think I missed? Do you want me to do more such Types of *insert some generic thing* posts? Let me know in the comments!

P.S.- I know I’ve already posted once today, but I just felt like this post should go out as soon as I finished it which was today, so I am gonna do that!

  2. Haha I’m definitely one of the sporadic ones…I wish I could keep up a good schedule, but I just never have time to write anymore because of school, so I always end up posting a bunch when I have breaks in school, and then barely ever posting when I have school. I’m trying!

  3. Gosh this is so scarily accurate 😂
I agree with you on the Influencers one – it feels weird and redundant to read that kind of posts regularly.
Love the Doggos!😂 I think I’m more of a Bore and sadly I don’t plan on changing it😂 All I know is creative writing or art🤦
Brilliant write though! It’s a creative and fun yet realistic take on the blogosphere!

  4. I’ve advanced from bore to regular so yay for that, but hopefully someday I can join the legendary ranks of a doggo or quipster 😊 maybe you could do one of readers, or a “what your shelf organization says about you” one?

  7. Hahahahaha, these posts of yours are definitely my new favorites 🤣🤣🤣 I was already howling by #2 – like seriously, I do not need to know about your beauty routine involving tons of products that aren’t sold here!!
Also, Riddhi, I think you are most definitely a doggo! And a quipster! And maybe slightly overenthusiatic? Not that I care, though, because I love you blog 😊
As for me, am I a doggo? Please, let me be one! And I do have a schedule, but compared to yours, it’s probably kind of sporadic… 😂

    1. Hehe glad I had you *howling* you doggo!
Ah, thank you so much!!! Although I am not a new comer like at all!
Nah, you are pretty regular by posting at least 4-5 times a month, people don’t even do that haha!

  8. I’m not even sure where I fall, but I’m trying to be a Regular 2.0. I know I’m always looking for topics to post because I’d hate to think I was a bore blogger, and I’m trying to be less sporadic of posting 13 posts one month and then 4 the next 😅😂

  9. A really fun blog post to read!
I’ve had the great fortune to not stumble across an influencer type blogger yet, by your description of them I don’t think I’ll ever want to. Also don’t know which category I fall in, hopefully not a Bore🙃

      1. I visited your website, it looks super nice! However, I don’t have an account in Wix, so I won’t be able to follow your content over there, but I did subscribe to your YouTube channel!

      You definitely are a quipster!
Yess, I am planning to do them, and I’ve done quite a few of them- types of authors, texters etc.
