Book Tag | Red (Taylor’s Version) Book Tag

Hey everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!

In honour of the (almost) 2 month anniversary of Red (TV), I decided I should do a TS themed post and I also realise I haven’t done a Red (Taylor’s Version) post. And that totally is not due to the fact that I haven’t listened to all the songs of the album. But anyway, moving on, I was tagged to do this by Lauren @Narrative Paradise, who has an amazing bookish blog, and does a bunch of other Taylor Swift stuff too, so do check it out!

This tag was created by Paige on Youtube.

Let’s get into it!

State of Grace – best opening book in a series

I pick A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder for this one. There is a trilogy with this as the first book as well as the trilogy name, and I recently reread it and loved it as much as I did the first time! Obviously, I knew the ending but oh well!

Buy The Good Girl's Guide to Murder: Book 1 (A Good Girl's Guide to Murder) (A Good Girl's Guide to Murder) Book Online at Low Prices in India | The Good Girl's

Red – a book that makes you feel a whole spectrum of emotion

I pick The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez for this one, because it makes me feel sadness, anger (mostly at the MC), happiness, everything!

The Friend Zone : Jimenez, Abby: Amazon.in: Books

Treacherous – a slow book that you ended up loving

Literally every book by Agatha Christie, like ever.

I Knew You Were Trouble – a book you knew would be bad and ended up being bad

I don’t really have an answer for this, since I don’t pick books I think will be bad, so um yeah.

All Too Well – the book that has stayed with you the most

I feel like books by Holly Bourne, particularly The Places I’ve Cried in Public, have stayed with me the most.

The Places I've Cried in Public by Holly Bourne

22 – coming of age book

I pick You Should See Me in a Crown for this one- it’s literally the perfect coming of age book there is.

You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson

I Almost Do – the one you keep almost reading and don’t

Pretty much every book on my physical TBR?
Okay, to be serious, The Hate U Give. I even almost bought a physical copy, but then I just found another book. It’s frustrating, but I’ll get to it, one day.

We Are Never Getting Back Together – a book you want to reread

None, at the moment. Topmost on my reread list were AGGGTM which I reread as soon as the year began.

Stay Stay Stay – a book everyone dislikes but you love

I mean, I get why people dislike this song, but I kinda like it. It’s not my favourite, but not my least favourite either.

Anyway, I saw a lot of negative reviews of If There’s No Tomorrow by JLA, but I love the book!

The Last Time – what was the last book you read?

As Good As Dead- the third book of the AGGGTM trilogy. YES, I FINALLY READ IT AND IT WAS SO GOOD AND SO DARK AND I LOVED IT.. And yes that’s also why I reread the first two books of the series.

Holy Ground – a fan-favorite book

Hmmm… I’d say everyone (including me) loves Loveless. I haven’t seen many negative reviews of it.

Loveless by Alice Oseman

Sad, Beautiful, Tragic – a book with any of these words in the title

I pick Beautiful World, Where Are You? by Sally Rooney which is on my TBR, since it’s well, Goodreads Choice Award of 2021, so.

Beautiful World, Where Are You: from the internationally bestselling author of Normal People : Rooney, Sally: Amazon.in: Books

The Lucky One – a book about fame

The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak deals with fame and boybands.

The Heartbreakers (The Heartbreakers Chronicles, #1) by Ali Novak

Everything Has Changed – a book that changed how you view something

What’s a Girl Gotta Do by Holly Bourne changed the way I look at a lot of things!

Buy What's a Girl Gotta Do?: 3 (The Spinster Club Series) Book Online at Low Prices in India | What's a Girl Gotta Do?: 3 (The Spinster Club Series) Reviews & Ratings - Amazon.in

Starlight – a book that makes you feel warm and cozy and magical

Ooh, pretty much every book by Kasie West. They are so cute!

Begin Again – a book you’d read on a Wednesday in a cafe

I would read whichever book I would be reading then…

The Moment I Knew – a book that looks happier than it actually is

I agree with Lauren on this one- Beach Read! It’s ultimately a happy book, but it does have it’s fair share of sad moments.

Beach Read by Emily Henry

Come Back, Be Here – a book series you want to make a resurgence OR a book series you want to be finished/the author to come back to

Will I be hated if I say Harry Potter? Like the OG book series? I mean I know Rowling has said shit stuff, but the kid in me doesn’t know that, and wants a good book from the world, not shitty Cursed Child.

Girl At Home – a book that feels like you’re betraying your favorite book/author/character

I just mentioned Cursed Child…

Better Man – a book with a dark/morally grey love interest

Does Scarlet count? Wolf is a morally grey love interest, with his dark past and everything.

Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer

Babe – a book where a character gets cheated on

It Only Happens in the Movies is a book in which the MC gets cheated on, and for once, the end is actually what it should be.

  1. WOLF!! Love him! Also, you’ve got me curious about It Only Happens in Movies!
State of Grace (acoustic) is probably my favorite track! I love the 10 minute version of All Too Well, though!
Thanks for doing that tag! I loved seeing your answers!

  2. THANK YOU!! I very much disliked A Cursed Child. It started out like, “Oh, this is cool,” and then got really boring and had other problems. It was not a good read for me.

  3. In Red TV Taylor’s vocals are at a completely different level, like more mature vocals. Sad beautiful tragic’s was improved the most I think,AND I LOVE THAT SONG.
    Well what’s yours, Riddhi?

    (I can’t-
It’s just so exciting to meet a swiftie!! )

    1. Yess, that’s true!
I actually haven’t heard all the songs yet (I will, one day, I will), but right now it’s Message in a Bottle!

Aah, believe me, I am not the last one you’ll meet, there are so many on the blogosphere!

      1. Message in a bottle is bop! But I have listened it way too much now so I have switched to a different one.

And I think you are right that there are many other swifties too!
