Hey everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!
So, I realised that it’s been a while since I updated you guys up on what I am reading and stuff, and I figured that this was a good way to do that! But what exactly will I be doing, you may ask?
I’ll basically be sharing what Goodreads thinks of the books, and what I think of them, till the place I’ve read them! I won’t be doing this for all the books I’ll read, just for some of them, especially when I am reading multiple books. Besides, I need a few post ideas wherein I can simply type stuff and I don’t need to put in a lot of energy, since I am probably going to post a lot less now *cries in exams*
Anyway, so, right now, I am reading three books- The Words We Keep by Erin Stewart (eBook), They Wish They Were Us by Jessica Goodman (physical copy) and The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams (audiobook). Let’s get into all of these!

1. The Words We Keep by Erin Stewart
I actually am reading this novel as a part of a blog tour and I received a digital ARC, and boy am I glad to have received it! It is a novel about mental health, and as you may or may not know- I LOVE GOOD MENTAL HEALTH NOVELS.
Basically, Lily, our main character, her sister attempted suicide a few months ago, and since then she’s been striving to keep her family together. Buuut, she’s also kind of losing it, since she’s under all this pressure of performing well, and well, she’s also in high school. Then comes into the picture, a guy named Micah who was with Alice, Lily’s sister, in rehab and he and Lily end up having to work on a school project worth a lot of their grade together. And well, they kind of become friends, at least that’s what been happening until now.
My thoughts:
I am loving this book until now. The language is kind of poetic, and may not be everyone’s thing, but it definitely is my thing, because the writing is so powerful! I cannot wait to see where the novel takes me, it seems super amazing until now (I have read about 25% of it)
What Goodreads thinks of it:
Welll, only 48 people have actually read it, since it just got released like on 15th March, 2022, but I hope this book gets more hyped, because to me, it deserves it! It has a rating of 4.35 stars right now, though. Here’s to hoping it doesn’t disappoint me!

2. The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams
So, I’ve recently started walking for about half an hour at night to get some (much needed) exercise, and well, while I am responding to my messages and comments, I listen to music, but for the rest of the time, I listen to an audiobook, and the audiobook I am currently listening to is- The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams!
Honestly, Sarah Adams is one of my favourite romcom authors, and it is a pity she is not very well known, since she writes amazing novels. They are cliched, but the characters and the writing style make it impossible for you to not like the book! This novel was released in November 2021, and I’ve been wanting to read it since forever, so I am glad I found an audiobook for it!
This novel is basically a best friends to fake lovers to real lovers novel, and until now, I am gobbling everything up!
Bree is a ballet teacher who runs a non-profit dance class for young aspiring ballerinas. Nathan is a super famous NFL player and every girl in the nation loves him. Bree and Nathan have been friends since forever, but all of that changes when Bree accidentally spills that she is in love with Nathan to a reporter. They are then told to sign a contract wherein they have to fake date, but things sort of get real when they have to touch in public and stuff.
My Thoughts:
Okay, I know I didn’t put that very well, but believe me it’s an amazing novel! Sarah Adams has outdone herself yet again, and you need to read this novel if you’re looking for a romance novel which’ll make you go all gooey! I am about 50% in and I am so glad I picked this up!
What Goodreads Thinks of It:
The book has got an okayish rating of 3.78, which is understandable since, I too, don’t give a romcom 5 stars unless it’s exceptionally amazing. People are calling it cute, and I agree- 100%!

3. They Wish They Were Us
This is a novel I have, like the physical copy of it, and it’s a mystery novel. I was craving a bunch of mystery to read back in January, so I ordered a few mystery novels, and immediately afterwards went into a slump. Anyhoo, I did not really read the blurb or anything for this novel, and simply just ordered it, after seeing the mystery tag, haha.
Basically, a girl named Shaila was murdered in her freshman year, by her boyfriend, and three years later, at the beginning of the senior year, her best friend Jill is texted by the boyfriend’s sister, claiming that the boyfriend, Graham is innocent. And Jill, well, investigates.
My Thoughts On It:
I am quite early in the book, just about 50 pages in, so it’s still kind of early to say stuff, but I don’t know why, I am getting cliched YA mystery vibes from it. I don’t really have a problem with that, but I am hoping it keeps me on the edge until the very end! The writing style is really good though, like I am enjoying the character development. It does seem a bit confusing right now, but I am guessing that ambiguity is the same as the one at the beginning of every mystery novel.
What Goodreads thinks of it:
Goodreads doesn’t think very highly of this book- it’s just got a 3.5 star average rating. The top few reviews call it average, but here’s to hoping I enjoy the novel!
Let me know if you enjoyed reading this post, and would want something like this once a fortnight! Do let me know if any of you have read any of these novels, and what you thought of them!

I read the first few pages of they wish they were us, and it gives me AGGGTM vibes. I deleted the e book though, mayBe I’ll download again and read it later.

You reading this many books at once is already giving me severe anxiety 😂 I could never!! The Words We Keep sounds super interesting, though! If you end up liking the whole thing, I might have to check it out myself! 🤗

I really want these posts once in a fortnight!
hey and I realized that despite the fact I am really mature, young adult novels bore me unless they aren’t dystopian sci-fi or contemporary

Ohkay, noted, haha!
Also, like yeah I read dystopia a bit and contemporary a lot (more than the amount that’s healthy for me lol)
