Recent life happenings, recent reads and a few changes around here!

Hey everybody! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!

It’s been a really long time since I wrote a post that I immediately publish, but well, after being MIA for almost a week (except posting posts I had to/were scheduled a month ago), I felt like giving you guys an update as to what’s been going on.

Honestly, June has been bittersweet up until now, more sweet than bitter. And I am happy about it, since June has been one of the best months in the past couple of years *wards off the evil eye*.

Firstly, as you may know, my boards got over. And I ended up lazing around after that, and completely forgot about the rest of the world. Then my sister’s best friend who lives in an another city came to live with us for three days, and that was pretty fun too. I also bought two new, very beautiful pairs of shoes! One of them is a beautiful shade of blue, and not the most athletic stuff, but the other one is made for athletic stuff, and I have been wearing them every where since then, haha!

After that, I ended up getting my hair dyed! I have been dying (haha, get the pun?) to get my hair dyed since Grade 10, and I finally got them dyed! They were supposed to turn out violet, but, they are a dark pink in some lights, burgundy in some, violet in some and not visible in others. But they are very subtle and very classy which is perfect for me! But I do need to learn how to take care of them, so anyone who has any tips, leave them in the comments! A lot of you have been asking for photos, so I’ll add them in my monthly wrap-up!

I also visited my cousins and met them after nearly five years! I had met my uncles and aunts, but hadn’t met my cousins since a family event in 2017, so it was really fun! I had a lot of fun, and it was a relaxing trip!
On the trip I ended up eating Pani Puri, Golgappa or whatever name you use for it, and it was so tasty! It was streetside, and spicy, and perfect for me!

I also travelled solo for the first time! I know it’s not really a big deal, since I am 17 and old enough and everything, but it was a big deal to me, and I honestly enjoyed travelling solo. And I totally didn’t end up finishing one book on the flight.

I also have plans with a few friends, and while they might not be executed with immediate effect, I intend to meet up with them soon!

I also visited a college that I may be attending, and it reminded me so much of my old school, that I hope I get in! I honestly am super excited for college- new beginnings and all!

I also got a lot of posters (cough 18 cough) printed- I got a few of Why Don’t We, a few of TS, a couple of Harry’s House and one of Niall Horan! And I am so happy!

Coming to the bitter part, there was this issue with a friend, and certain other things that followed, but you know what, let’s not talk about it.

And obviously, school’s ended, which is bittersweet, since I don’t want school to end, but I also want to move forward and make new relations. It’s very weird.

Let’s move on to what I have been reading recently!

I’ve honestly gotten in a bit of reading, despite being super busy! Some of them were ARCs but I also read a few audiobooks, which were not ARCs! I read this super obscure series’ three books- the BFFs series by Yesenia Vargas (I am not sure if that’s the correct spelling.) They’re cute and rather short, and I had fun reading them!

I also started The Summer I Turned Pretty, and someone tell me what is the hype about? Like there’s no plotline up until now? I was gonna buy the paperbacks, and I am so happy I didn’t! And the narrator, who apparently is playing Belly in the web series smiles so damn much and so damn unnecesarily while narrating, and I hate her narration. The first book is a MAJOR UGH up until now. There are books I say my younger self would’ve liked, and then there’s this. I am still gonna finish the book and the series, since I want to see where this goes.

Anyway, as for ARCs, I’m reading Zyla and Kai right now, and I finished It’s All in How You Fall by Sarah Hennings recently. There’s this book- Never Coming Home, i am super excited to read!

Moving on to the change! So, I’m thinking of making the current posting schedule my permanent one. I have some entrances until mid July, and my college may or may not start in August, but anyway, I won’t be free enough to type a post everyday. While my stats have gone down (A LOT), I really can’t afford to post more, so we’re rolling with this.
