Book Tag | The 2021 Good News Book Tag

To sound like a cringey Gen Z person (even though I feel like a millenial more often) #TBT2021

Hey everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!

Today, I’ll be doing a tag that was created by Laura @The Corner of Laura to celebrate all the happiness of 2021! She’s also the one who tagged me! Thanks so much Laura, and you guys, go check her blog out!

Rules

  • Link back to the original creator (The Corner of Laura) and link back to this page (otherwise, the original creator won’t get a notification).
  • Thank whoever tagged you and link back to their post
  • (Optional) Use the graphics and don’t forget to credit the original creator (Text prompts are at the end of the tag if you’d prefer to use those)- You can find the original graphics on Laura’s blog.
  • (Optional) Tag 5 or more other people.

I’m not using the graphics, but you can click on the link above to check them out!

1. Gay marriage was legalised in Switzerland: A book with LGBT characters who live happily ever after

I pick Flip the Script which is a recent audiobook I read! It isn’t AMAZING, but it isn’t bad either!

2. Giant Pandas are no longer classed as Endangered: A book with a fantastic animal companion

Can I be basic and say Harry Potter? Hedwig was such a cool companion, right?

3. Studies show that the HPV vaccine has cut cervical cancer rates by almost 90%: A book where science plays a big part

I pick Cress for this because science does kinda play a big part in it, right?

4. Josephine Baker became the first black woman to be inducted into the Pantheon in Paris: A book that celebrates Black culture

I pick Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry for this one!

5. Chloe Zhao became the first woman in colour to win an Oscar for best director: Your favourite book by an Asian author

When Dimple Met Rishi might not be my favourite book by her, but she is a great Asian author!

6. Rose Ayling-Ellis, the show’s first deaf contestant, won Strictly Come Dancing: A kickass disabled character

Honestly, I haven’t read a lot of books with disability rep (Working on it, though), so nothing really comes to mind.

Thank you so much Laura for tagging me! I am not tagging anyone because well, I am extremely late! However, if you enjoyed the tag, feel free to do it! What is your favourite memory from 2021? Let me know in the comments!
