Hey people! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!
It’s been a while since I did a book tag, and so I decided to give one a go! I found this tag on library in the tower, and it seems rather fun, so I thought of giving it a go!
Also, I hate WP, this is the second draft of the post you’re reading- it deleted almost the entirety of my first one😭😭
What is the longest amount of time you can comfortably go without picking up a book?
If I am in a slump, it might be a long time, but even then I try to read at least a few pages daily.
How many books do you carry on your person (or kindle) at any one time?
I have at least one physical book on me at any time, and multiple ebooks on my phone.
Do you keep every book you buy/receive or are you happy to pass them on to make space for more?
I do keep every book I buy/receive because honestly, I am too attached to them? They are like my babies, and well, I need to keep them, cuz, yeah.
How long would you spend in a bookshop on a standard visit?
Literal hours, if it’s a good, big book store. There’s just something so peaceful and soothing about roaming around in book stores.
How much time per day do you actually spend reading?
Before college, I used to spend like an hour or so daily, but after college started, I’ll be lucky to spare half an hour on a weekday. But I do spend like an hour and a half on weekends, so yeah.
Where does the task ‘picking up a book’ appear on your daily to-do list?
Whenever I am bored, and like even in between classes, I read on my phone. I also try reading before I sleep, at least a few pages.
How many books do you reckon you own in total (including e-books)?
Um, I guess I have around 300 physical books, and well, I honestly don’t know about ebooks.
Approximately how often do you bring up books in conversation?
VERY OFTEN. I mean, the thing is, I live, breathe and speak books. Like there’s something someone will say and I’ll be like, wait, that’s a book reference, and then I’ll realise oh, they probably just said it- they don’t know it’s that book’s reference, and I’ll be having a full-fledged conversation with myself, because of course, I will.
What is the biggest book (page count) you have finished reading?
It’s got to be Kingdom of Ashes (The last Throne of Glass novel), which is like a 900+ page novel.
Is there a book you had to get your hands on against all odds (i.e searching bookshops, online digging, etc.)?
Ah, I don’t think so, I mostly find everything I want online.
A book you struggled to finish but refused to DNF?
The Summer I Turned Pretty, the entire trilogy for sure. I mean, I wanted to know what the hype was for, and hence I completed the trilogy. Wasted several sacred hours of my life.
What are 3 of your main book goals for 2022?
- Maximize reading
- Read other genres- ones that are outside my comfort zone
- Finish my Goodreads reading goal.
Have you ever had the privilege of converting someone into a reader (maybe via inspiration or incessant nagging)?
Sadly, no. I have incessantly nagged people, but none of them have converted. I know, I know, it’s bad, but I am working on converting people constantly, guys.
Describe what books mean to you in five words.
Escapism. Happiness. Heartbreak. Magic. Peace.
That’s all I got for you today! Feel free to do the tag if you wish to! Let me know what books mean to you in five words in the comments!

I love this tag and may well do it too. In five words what books mean – Honestly??? After careful thought – Books are my happy place.

All of this is so relatable 🤣 Although I have gotten a lot better at getting rid of books! Constantly moving makes you realize that owning a ton of stuff maybe isn’t the greatest…
And I’m always trying to convert people into readers, too, with my poor students having to face the brunt of my enthusiam 😇🤣

I feel like once I have to start moving, I’ll remove all the other possessions I own to a bare minimum, and just not get rid of the books I own.
Love thatt!!
