Monthly Wrap-Up | October 2022

Funnily enough, October is the first month that actually felt like a month. Like I felt each of the thirty one days passing.

Hey everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!

So, well, October. It was a rollercoaster of a month, honestly. But the fun kind. Like overall, I am happy with the month. I hung out with old friends and new, I read enough books, I watched a couple of movies, watched a couple of seasons of a TV show, but we’ll cover that later.

The first half was rather boring, and I didn’t really do much. It was a college friend’s birthday though, so we celebrated that, and that was fun.

The second half thoughhhhh!!! It was super fun! Well, there were lunches and dinners with friends, but that wasn’t the funnest part. It was… you guessed it right… Midnights! The sad thing is I wasn’t able to listen to the entire album on the first day it was released, but once I did, I fell in love. Not right away though, it was a slow-burn romance. I fell in love with some songs like Anti-Hero right away, but songs like Maroon took time to grow over me. But when they did, boy oh boy, I fell hard.

Look at me describing my love for Midnights like it’s a love story.

Moreover, there was Diwali. I made rangolis, which obviously didn’t turn out as well as one would expect. I also prepared Indian sweets like Chocolate Mawa Barfi, and they were amazing! Like I obviously liked the taste, but so did other people, and that made me very happy, since it was the first time I made those sweets.

I also read Heartstopper- all four volumes and that made me very happy!! Nick and Charlie are so cute! I want a romance like theirs!

I feel like that’s most of the month in a nutshell.

Oooh wait, no, there’s more. So, remember how I dyed my hair back in June? Obviously, the colour’s faded since then, and my hair looked well, brown, and they didn’t look bad, per se, but they could look better. So, I dyed them red! Well, they turned out pinkish, but they look good, and I feel happy, and things are lalalala.

Okay, moving on to the wrap-up!

Books I read this month:

So, I actually had the best reading month I’ve had in a long time. I read a total of 9 books this month, and not gonna lie, I’m kinda proud of myself.

  1. The Manifesto on How to Be Interesting? by Holly Bourne
  2. Once Upon a K-Prom by Kat Cho
  3. The Rumor Game by Dhonielle Clayton
  4. Seoulmates by Susan Lee
  5. Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman
  6. Heartstopper Volume 2 by Alice Oseman
  7. Heartstopper Volume 3 by Alice Oseman
  8. Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman
  9. You Have a Match by Emma Lord

All of these are actually books I’d recommend checking out!

Movies and TV shows I watched

Okay, so I am certain I watched quite a few movies- I think I watched Do Revenge. I also watched this Hindi film called Tamasha.

As for TV shows, I am currently watching How I Met Your Mother and I have completed two seasons.

That’s about it.

Songs I Heard This Month:

Well, there’s obviously Midnights I heard, but before that I listened to an updated version of my September 2022.

Goals for November:

Stay alive. Literally. I have four new courses starting this month and none of my friends are in the same class as me, so I don’t know what I am gonna do.

That’s it for this month’s wrap-up! Let me know in the comments how your October was!
