Review:
Okay, so I went in with very high expectations, which is why I may have found it mediocre? Like, overall, it’s a great book, but the last book I read by Holly Jackson was As Good As Dead, and that was a masterpiece.
Plot:
Now, there’s one thing I really found daring about this book, and that one thing is the plot. Thanks to the title, we already knew that only five people are going to survive, and it was just a question of who would not. It’s really difficult to keep a person hooked, and the fact that Holly Jackson easily pulled it off, that’s really cool, honestly.
Characters:
I love love loved the depth of the characters! They were very unique and morally grey to some extent, it was really nicely executed! You find yourself rooting for (almost) all of them.
Writing Style:
This is where I felt that the book fell a little flat at times? On a whole, it’s not bad, but there are certain plot points where it could have been better. This is just my personal opinion, of course.
Definitely recommend it if in you’re in the mood for a mystery, but don’t go in having great expectations!

This sounds “thrilling” 😉
Interesting read no doubt! I wanna read it.

I didn’t enjoy the last 2 books, especially the last book, in the A Good Girls Guide to Murder trilogy, so maybe having lower expectations will help me love it more. Still sucks you didn’t like it much though.
