Book Tag | The Grishaverse Book Tag

Hey everybody! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!!

Today I will be doing the Grishaverse tag! I haven’t read the Shadow and Bone Trilogy yet, but I have read the Six of Crows, and I am super glad that Madeline @The Bookish Mutant tagged me for this! Thank you so much Madeline! And all of you guys, do go check her blog out, she posts awesome bookish content almost everyday!

P.S.- I took all the GIFs from Madeline’s post, so credits to her for them!

Let’s begin, shall we?

1. KAZ BREKKER: A book you shouldn’t judge by its cover

be kind. — FREDDY CARTER IN SHADOW AND BONE EPISODE...

My answer for this is Fix Her Up. Now both the cover and title suggest that Georgia, the MC is the one who needs to be fixed. But it’s the opposite, the love interest Travis is the one who needs his brain to be fixed! I thought it would be a light, sweet romance, but ugh, it turned out to be one of the worse romances I ever read, but the cover, looks so simple and pretty. And now I am rambling.

What I mean to say is that, the cover looks simple and pretty, but the book was weird and made me nauseous.

2. NINA ZENIK: A book that made you feel empowered

Words Are Life — fairytcpia: NINA ZENIK AND MATTHIAS HELVAR...

I, uh, really can’t think of a book that made me feel empowered. There have been such books, sure, but I can’t really think of one.

3. INEJ GHAFA: A book with a good balance of character and plot

Just leaving in 2021 | Six of crows, The grisha trilogy, Shadow

I pick Today Tonight Tomorrow for this, because it’s such a good book, with perfect balance of character and plot! Both the main characters were like so smart, and like perhaps Rowan wasn’t the nicest person, but she wasn’t bad, and Neil was actually nice. And the trope was the best of all- Enemies to Lovers!

4. ALINA STARKOV: A unique book, one that is unlike anything you’ve ever read

I pick It Only Happens in the Movies by Holly Bourne for this one, since all her books are super unique, and nothing like the ones I normally read. This one, too was unpredictable, yet amazing.

5. MAL ORETSEV: A book that always sticks with you

burns, babble & books

Okay, being basic here, and saying Harry Potter, because after all this time? Always.

Come on, you know the book’s got that attraction factor, right??

6. THE DARKLING: A book with a dark plot/storyline

I don’t really read dark books a lot, so I don’t have an answer for this one…

7. JESPER FAHEY: A book that people always seem to leave out

Jesper Fahey Is The Best Character In "Shadow And Bone"

Okay, before I answer this prompt, is it just me or does Jesper seem a bit like Leo Valdez from PJO? It’s not just me right?

For this I pick a book by Jennifer L Armentrout, and it’s not a fantasy novel, nope. It’s If There’s No Tomorrow.

8. WYLAN VAN ECK: A book that wasn’t what it seemed at first

Well, I pick The Friend Zone for this one. I went into this book thinking it was just another contemporary romance…. which it definitely wasn’t!

9. MATTHIAS HELVAR: A book that was bad at first but turned out good

SUOMI FINLAND PERKELE — Hello! May I ask for a song prompt for Matthias...

This one’s difficult!

I am gonna go with Hot British Boyfriend because it didn’t really start off in the best way, but it did end in a good way, so.

10. NIKOLAI LANTSOV: A witty book

I pick What Would the Aunties Say? for this one, because it’s one of the wittiest books I have ever read.

I tag (No pressure!):

  1. Naemi @A Book Owl’s Corner
  2. Phoenix @Books With Wings
  3. Abby @Beyond the Read
  4. Laura @Corner of Laura
  5. Georgia @Lost in Neverland
  6. Cherelle @A Bolt Out of the Book
  7. Jawahir @The Never Ending Chronicles of Jawahir the Bookworm
  8. YOU!

  1. I love this tag! I love Six of Crows and all the character names and their main attributes never fails to bring a smile on my face. Harry Potter for sure will be an all time favourite, not only because of the books but the memories attached to it. What would the Aunties Say? has me sold on by the name itself.

  2. Ahhh, after all this time? Always! 🥰 Of course I agree with that answer! And I also agree that Jasper and Leo have quite a bit in common 😄
Thank you so much for the tag, Riddhi; being obsessed with the Grishaverse, I’ll definitely have to do this one eventually! 😊
