Trials of Apollo: Tower of Nero Book Review

Hey Guys! Over the past two days I completed the final part of Trials of Apollo. And it was epic.

I first thought this cover was awesome, but now it just makes me wanna cry.

I have waited for this book for nearly 6 months and now that it was finally here, I was in the middle of another book! Can you imagine how disgruntled I was?! Anyway, I quickly finished that book [I will post its review soon. This is the priority] and started this one! And, whoa! There were quite some surprises.

Blurb[taken from GoodReads(This is the first time I am not posting a self-written one)] :
At last, the breathtaking, action-packed finale of the #1 bestselling Trials of Apollo series is here! Will the Greek god Apollo, cast down to earth in the pathetic moral form of a teenager named Lester Papadopoulos, finally regain his place on Mount Olympus? Lester’s demigod friends at Camp Jupiter just helped him survive attacks from bloodthirsty ghouls, an evil Roman king and his army of the undead, and the lethal emperors Caligula and Commodus. Now the former god and his demigod master Meg must follow a prophecy uncovered by Ella the harpy. Lester’s final challenge will be at the Tower of Nero, back in New York. Will Meg have a last showdown with her father? Will this helpless form of Apollo have to face his arch nemesis, Python? Who will be on hand at Camp Half-Blood to assist? These questions and more will be answered in this book that all demigods are eagerly awaiting.

For those of you who don’t know, Tower of Nero is the final part of the Trials of Apollo pentalogy. The series consists of the following books:

  • The Hidden Oracle
  • The Dark Prophecy
  • The Burning Maze
  • The Tyrant’s Tomb
  • The Tower of Nero

My favourite character in the book series is an arrow- The Arrow of Dodona [muted screams escape my mouth] as it is extremely funny. I also kinda like Meg. Apollo, even though he learns to be modest, is a bit irritating. Nevertheless, Lester is much better than Apollo. Also, Solangelo is so adorable in this novel❤❤. If I am being honest, I never really liked them much, but they won my heart.

And the plot twists were *chef’s kiss*. There were many laugh-out-loud moments because, you know, Rick Riordan wrote the book. They were bound to be there. Even in the most intense fighting scenes, you have to laugh.

Rick Riordan has also hinted that we will be getting more of the demigod world in this novel. We will probably get a Solangelo series and also something related to a ‘cat’ and a ‘severed head’. Whatever may it be, I am going to read it for sure!! This cannot be the end of demigod stories!!!

I recommend the entire pentalogy to everyone. Whatever be your age or your preferred genre you have to give these a go. While they are not as good as Heroes of Olympus and the original Percy Jackson series, they are definitely worth a read!!

My Rating for Tower of Nero: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Have you read this book? Do you intend to? Have you read the other Rick Riordan books?? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

P.S. -Read the review of the first four books here.
