Song Lyrics that I love!

Hey everybody!!!! So, this was an idea I had a while back, but I just recently remembered it, and so here we are discussing some of my favourite song lyrics!

I listen to music almost the entire day, and sometimes I am just in awe of the artist’s genius when they write a particular lyric. And thus, I thought of sharing my thoughts with all of you!

Lyric 1:

The first lyric is from the song Black and White by Niall Horan.

I see us in black and white
Crystal clear on a star lit night
In all your gorgeous colors
I promise that I’ll love you for the rest of my life

I love the entire song, actually, but these few lines from the chorus are just beautiful. It’s a love song, in which the singer acknowledges his loyalty to one woman and promises to love her for the rest of his life. He promises to love her in sickness and in health (In all your gorgeous colors).
It’s just beautiful to me.

Lyric 2:

The next lyrics are from the song brutal by Olivia Rodrigo. This is one of my favourite songs from the album she recently put out- Sour.

And I’m so sick of 17
Where’s my f***ing teenage dream?

The first set of lyrics is like so accurate. I am sixteen- and I already don’t wanna turn seventeen, cos I know it’s gonna be a difficult year. And for us enjoying our ‘youth’ we actually have to have less work- we are legit overburdened.

The second lyric accurately sums up the world, which is indeed brutal- something I have come to know lately. Since this is supposed to be a cheerful post, I am not gonna elaborate.

Lyric 3:

This post would literally be incomplete without mentioning a few Taylor Swift lyrics. The one song I feel has a lot of awesome lyrics, is Mr. Perfectly Fine.

It takes everything in me just to get up each day
But it’s wonderful to see that you’re okay

When I first heard this song, I related to it immediately and it hit me in the gut. The entire song’s so damn good, I swear.

Lyric 4:

The next lyric I choose is from the song Feel Something by Joshua Bassett.

We’re selfish, we’re meltin’, we’re talkin’ shit just to tell it
We’re stupid, we’re doin’ anything we can just to feel somethin’

I feel like this is the story of every teenager’s life. If I think of my life as a teenager until now, half of it is just stuff that makes no sense. Which is basically these lyrics.

Lyric 5:

I recently began listening to this artist named Ava Max, and boy, her lyrics are definitely something. A song that needs a mention here is Kings and Queens.

No damsel in distress, don’t need to save me
Once I start breathin’ fire, you can’t tame me
And you might think I’m weak without a sword
But if I had one, it’d be bigger than yours

So, this song is really feminist in nature, and exhibits how strong a woman can be, and I just love it. It’s so strong and just amazing!

Lyric 6:

My next mention is definitely gonna be from Why Don’t We’s music! Come on, it’s impossible I don’t talk about them! The song is titled Stay.

My interpretation of these lyrics is the fact that more often than not, we fall for the idea of a person, but when we actually get to know that person, it’s a slap of reality. But once they leave us, we still miss them, because of the idea of that person we had.

This set of lyrics is from the song Let Her Go. I love the antagonism between the words in a line, and I love how it is just a metaphor for love. It’s beautiful!
