I have an idea!

Yep, you have read that title before. Many times. Many many times.

Hey Guys! Welcome or welcome back to my blog!

So, I was thinking about something in which all of you could participate which was not so-very-common like a QnA or an Assumptions or something, and my genius brain (Brain: Hey, that’s a sentence I don’t hear often enough) came up with an idea!

Basically as a reader, you experience stuff other readers do as well, correct? Well I just want you to list some such things you think you do or experience which you think are relatable as a reader! And in another post I will be reacting to those things and telling y’all if I find them relatable or not! This is sorta the opposite of unpopular opinions- this is popular opinions!

For example: Insta love is a pet peeve for me.

This doesn’t necessarily have to be something you hate or love, and everybody else does too, it can be a situation you find yourself in repeatedly as well. Be creative y’all!

So, fire away!

  1. Well for me it’s that I have many pretty bookmarks but somehow I still end up using pieces of paper or cards or other random stuff as bookmarks
Another has to be that I hate when people ask me what Im reading when Im immersed in the book its hella annoying and I know most of us don’t even bother replying and just show the book cover

  2. I’d say I hate it when people are talking to me and I’m trying to reeead! Like, seriously, I’m busy here, ya see?

Oh! And also. That feeling when I finish a book that’s part of a series that isn’t finished and it ends on a cliffhanger… humph!

  3. I hate it when someone disturbs me or snatches my book while I am reading, especially it’s the main part of the book. Also when someone dirties my book, once my annoying little cousin tore my book. I could have killed him then and there, *but it’s just a book* says everyone. 😤

    1. when someone says what happens at the end of the book when I am still reading. But it’s okay when I do it. That’s the reason my elder sister does not read a lot of books, cause I destroy the ending for her.😁

  4. I hate it when people who clearly aren’t interested in what I’m reading ask me what I’m reading as a way to make small talk 🙄 Like, the reason I’m reading this in the first place is so I won’t have to talk about meaningless things to people like you!

Also, I love smelling any books I have newly acquired, just not in public where someone might see 😁

  5. Whenever someone says technology makes you ignorant all I think in my head is like I’ll ignore you just the same when I am reading and you try to talk to me😂

I hate it when people keep books just for decoration

  7. I hate it when people crack the spine of paperbacks-it INFURIATES ME!!
And when they fold a page when they don’t have a bookmark.
I have an unhealthy obssession when it comes to stalking books that I haven’t yet read.
I hate lending people my books (not even my own sister😅) because I really don’t trust everyone🤣

  8. That thing of: “This book gets me!” Usually because the MC is bookish, weird, and/or shy and nobody gets her.

Occasionally, this is followed by: “I thought this book got me, but now it has just sucker-punched me.” Usually over politics.

Weirdly, I also found Ramona Quimby super relatable even though her personality is kind of excitable, rowdy, and very different from mine. Of course, she’s about 5 years old when she first stars in her own book.

  9. Not sure how many people have this experience. I re-read books which I had read some time ago. I find that the “feel” that I have during the second reading could be different from the first time I read the same book, as in I have a different opinion of certain character(s) or certain scenes in the story.
