Swiping right or left for book character! | Book Character Tinder | Part I

*Clears throat*

Ahem, ahem. Yes, I am aware most of you have forgotten what this is going to be about. Let me remind you. Remember back in April, I had asked you guys to leave bios for book characters, and I would be swiping left or right based on whether or not I like them. Yeaah, that’s what this is about.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Nehal’s recommendations:

Voldemort :
-bad boy turned worse trope
-lust for power
-special features= no nose

Upon little consideration, I am going to have to say no.

Bella Swan:

-falls for two unearthly creatures
-ambitionless in life
-doesn’t see she’s pretty
-a true lover

Yeah…. um, no.

-bad guy wanting revenge trope
-lust for power
-special features= chopped body

Yeah, no, again.

Nehal, dear, please never ever recommend a guy to me in real life. Thanks.

Susana’s recommendations:

Jem Carstairs
– has the purest heart
– plays the violin
– is kinda of dying (oops?)
– special features: silver hair

Okay, Jem here seems to have everything that checks the perfect boyfriend list…. but, he is dying. And that’s the kind of heartbreak I can’t take. So, I am gonna have to take a hard pass.

Mal Oretsev
– will find literally anything you want, including thousand years old mytical creatures
– a bit over possessive
– can swoon you when he wants to

The overpossessiveness does seem like a down side, but Mal seems like a nice guy overall. I will say yes, I might just go on a date with him, hehe.

Nikolai Lantsov
– charming and sarcastic
– cunning
– will make you love blondes

YES, YES, YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES. You had me at charming and sarcastic!

Ahaana’s recommendations:

Marshall Seo (from these violent delights):
– funny
– lively
– charming

Yes, again, he is the kind of guy who will make sure I don’t die of not going out and sunlight deficiency, so I guess indeed I will go out with him.

Kaz Brekker (from six of crows):
– ruthless
– cunning
– loyal

According to a recent quiz I took (link: here), Kaz is my literary soulmate. How can I say no to my literary soulmate? It’s a swipe right for me!

Roma Montagov (from these violent delights):
– soft
– russian
– looks tough on the outside but is really a cinnamon roll

Roma seems like a super sweet guy, but will he be able to make me laugh? Guess, I haven’t made up my mind for him yet.

Jesper Fahey (from six of crows):
– skilled sharpshooter
– has a gambling addiction
– gay AND soft

Oh my god, Ahaana I love Jesper!! If only he wasn’t gay. Now, that, is a travesty.

Corrie’s recommendations:

Alex Bailey (from The Land of Stories):

-A little on the shy side
-Loves her twin

Well, Alex seems like a good character, but I am not into introverted people, since I am an introvert myself, and I need people to drag me out of the house, so.

Conner Bailey (from The Land of Stories)

Not studious
Loves his twin
Not organized

Yeah, I will definitely go out with Connor!! He is my polar opposite, and will ‘complete’ me to use the cringiest phrase ever.

Jayfeather (from The Power of Three)

Loves his siblings
Very hard to get to know

Um, I don’t think I’ll be able to date him, because I do not like grumpy people. I am into happy-go-lucky type people.

Inaya’s Recommendations:

Luna Lovegood

– Unique
– Smart
– Kind
– Brave

Okay, I am in a tricky spot here. I am sorry all Potterheads, but I am not the biggest fan of Luna. There! I said it! I know everyone loves Luna and everything, but I don’t know, I just don’t. So, no I will not go on a date with her.

Hermione Granger

– Smartest witch of her age
– Brave
– Bold

YES. I would love to go on a date with Hermione! We could study and read together. *stares dreamily into space* I am such a nerd, aren’t I?

Ronald Weasley

– Funny
– Not scared of anything except for spiders and his mum
– Not very serious
– Overprotective about his younger sister

Well, I honestly don’t know if I would date Ron. I do like him more than Harry, but still decision on dating is still in the works!

Alright, those are all the characters I will be selecting/not selecting to be my date today! I will be back with part two soon (hopefully!) Meanwhile, if you still haven’t contributed to the characters, click here!
Which character was your favourite from all these? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Oh you had me so confused. I wwas like wait what??? I was not giving these recomendations for dating. I was recomending you read the books.
But I was like yeah you would proabbaly not date Jayfeather. He is A CAT and he hates twolegs.
Conner would be a cool boyfriend though.
Alexa would not be a good girlfriend. I never would have suggested her. I thought you just wanted some characters to learn about.
    Sorry for the confusion.

  2. I’m glad you liked my recs, this post turned out amazing 😍
I can see how the fact that Jem is dying would be a dealbreaker so I don’t blame you for that 😂😅
I can’t wait for the next part!!
